With your own private falconer guiding you through the picturesque grounds surrounding The Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa, a majestic Harris Hawk will follow along, from tree to tree and back and forth between you and the falconer, capturing the essence of the Lake District’s sense of freedom and nature.

Embrace the scenery of Lake Windermere and the Langdales, as you learn about the ancient art of falconry, the hawks’ remarkable instincts, their hunting techniques, and the incredible bond forged between falconer and bird, which has existed for thousands of years.

Lasting 45 minutes to an hour, you’ll not only learn about the Harris Hawk, you’ll also be invited to become the falconer yourself and experience the thrill of wearing the falconer’s glove and having the Hawk land on your fist and “cast” the hawk off into the sky.
